Our client, a mechanical garage specialising in heavy goods vehicles, is looking for a full-time mechanic in both their Aberdeen and Peterhead locations.
DUTIES:
- Diagnosing and identifying mechanical, electrical, and technical issues in vehicles/trailers.
- Executing repairs efficiently and effectively to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
- Conducting routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent future breakdowns.
- Performing regular maintenance tasks.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure seamless workflow and exceptional service delivery.
- Upholding the highest standards of workmanship and quality in all tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Proven experience as an LCV, HGV, PSV Mechanic with expertise in diagnostics, repairs, and inspections.
- Strong understanding of vehicle/trailer systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications/qualifications or experience in automotive technology.
WORKING HOURS: 0730/0800 – 1600/1630
PAY RATE: £19.00 – £24.00 - overtime available.
