About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team, delivering plant machinery including diggers, dumpers, and other equipment to various sites. This is a hands-on role that requires not only driving skills but also a good understanding of plant machinery and safe loading/unloading practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect plant machinery safely and efficiently to customer sites
- Load and unload equipment using appropriate methods and securing techniques
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and paperwork is accurate
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on-site
- Adhere to all road transport and health & safety regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience transporting plant machinery (e.g., diggers, dumpers)
- Basic knowledge of plant equipment operation and safety procedures
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable (but not essential)
- Plant operator tickets (e.g., CPCS or NPORS)
