We are delighted to be recruiting for a new Nature Recovery Officer for the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere. This is an exciting time to join our team and to make your mark as we develop our Nature Recovery program.

We’re looking for a dynamic individual with a good knowledge and understanding of ecosystem function, biodiversity, and the land management challenges we face in SW Scotland. You should have good facilitation and communication skills and have some experience in project management.

This is a full time post with flexible hybrid working (minimum 1 day per week at our office in Newton Stewart). Please note a driving licence is essential for this role.

  • Base: Biosphere Offices, Newton Stewart
  • Gross Salary: £29,991 to £32,390 p.a.
  • Pension Contribution: Employer contribution of 8% of salary
  • Contract Period: Until 31 March 2028 (with possible extension subject to funding)
  • Contract Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week). It may occasionally be necessary to attend meetings outside normal working hours (for which time off in lieu will be given).
