Are you an experienced leader with a passion for making a positive impact in the social housing sector? We’re seeking to appoint an experienced leader to this key role which forms part of our senior management team.

Employment Type: Full time, permanent

Location: Dumfries & Galloway (Primarily home based with frequent regional travel)

Salary range: £57,827 – £62,049 + competitive benefits package and on call payment

Hours: 35 hours each week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

The Role

As Head of Property Services you’ll be expected to deliver Property Services with a tenant-focused approach, ensuring full compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including those set by the Scottish Housing Regulator. You will work collaboratively with other teams to provide the best service to our tenants, leading your team to assure the quality and safety of our housing stock.

  • Lead Stock Investment & Sustainability
  • Oversee Cyclical Compliance & Repairs
  • Manage Robust contract management and project delivery
  • Provide Aids & Adaptations
  • Drive a culture of accountability, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction
  • Maintain good working relationships with peers to deliver for our tenants
  • Stay up-to-date with sector regulations, trends, and best practice to inform decision-making
  • Work with the Director of Operations to develop and deliver the Asset Management Strategy
  • Commit to excellent service delivery and cultivate a performance culture that encourages collaboration and innovation

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in the housing sector
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire teams to achieve high performance
  • Degree level (or equivalent) education or professional qualification, e.g., Diploma in Asset Management (IAM) or similar
  • Ability to participate in on-call arrangements on a rotational basis among key operational roles
  • Experience in asset, compliance and investment management
  • Knowledge and understanding of housing operations
  • Strong contract management abilities
  • Resilience and organisational abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
