About the Role
We are a family run dairy farm 3 miles outside of Castle Douglas. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dairy Person to join our team. We milk twice a day. This is a hands‑on role involving a variety of tasks to support the day‑to‑day milking of our herd. The ideal candidate will be practical and motivated.
Key Responsibilities
- Milking cows to a high standard.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene in the milking parlour.
- Monitoring cow health during milking and reporting any concerns.
- Ensuring animal welfare is maintained.
- Keeping the milking area clean and tidy.
- Supporting other farm duties as required
Requirements
- Pervious milking experience preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Driving licence preferred.
