We're excited to be opening our brand-new café and are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Barista & Food Preparation Assistant to join our team.

This is a varied role where each week will be different.

One week you'll be making barista coffee, smoothies and drinks, next week you will be preparing fresh sandwiches, salads and light lunches, serving customers, and helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and serving high-quality coffee, teas, smoothies and other drinks.
  • Preparing fresh sandwiches, salads, soups and other café food.
  • Serving customers and providing excellent customer service.
  • Keeping the café looking its best, clearing tables and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.

We're looking for someone who

  • Is friendly, welcoming, and confident in building a rapport with customers and colleagues - enjoys working with people.
  • Has a positive attitude and is happy working in a busy environment.
  • Takes pride in producing quality food and drinks and shares our values of quality food, honest ingredients and warm hospitality.
  • Has good attention to detail and can work efficiently.
  • Previous barista or café experience is welcome but not essential - full training can be provided for the right person.
