A fantastic opportunity to join a well established firm of solicitors based next to Cheshire Oaks. Our Firm is a panel member of the Police Federation (Police officers Union). We represent Police Officers that have been involved in work related accidents against the Police.
The vacancy is ideal for a qualified solicitor or senior solicitor with at least 3 years experience in litigation, preferably in EL/OL personal injury.
Responsibilities include:- Managing a caseload of 130-150 Fast/Multi track litigated and pre-litigated personal injury Claims
- Ability to run a case from Pre-Lit to trial
- Ability to work as part of a team, and with supervision, to comply with firm processes
- Ability to use case management software
- Drafting Court documents and Witness statements
- Preparing trial bundles
- Ensuring cases are run efficiently and court directions are complied with
- Regularly updating clients
- Previous experience in litigation essential
- Ability to meet strict court deadlines
- Strong focus on client care and managing members of the public through the court process
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Strong client care skills to assist laypersons navigate the court system
- Strong attention to detail and to spot technical points in Defences and evidence
- Able to follow instructions of senior staff and comply with internal deadlines
- Case management software experience
- Self motivated and able to work autonomously and part of a team
- Ability to hit high targets on settlement and litigation
- Good organisation skills are essential whilst working under pressure
- Minimum 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays and birthday off (following 12 months of service)
- Extra day holiday per year of service subject to minimum term
