Pensions Litigation Lawyer

A fantastic opportunity to join a well established firm of solicitors based next to Cheshire Oaks. *Our Firm is a panel member of the Police Federation (Police officers Union). We represent Police Officers that have been involved in work related accidents against the Police. * The vacancy is ideal for a qualified solicitor or senior solicitor with at least 3 years experience in litigation, preferably in EL/OL personal injury. *Responsibilities include:* * Managing a caseload of 130-150 Fast/Multi track litigated and pre-litigated personal injury Claims * Ability to run a case from Pre-Lit to trial. * Ability to work as part of a team, and with supervision, to comply with firm processes * Ability to use case management software * Drafting Court documents and Witness statements * Preparing trial bundles * Ensuring cases are run efficiently and court directions are complied with * Regularly updating clients *Ideal Candidate* * Previous experience in litigation essential * Ability to meet strict court deadlines * Strong focus on client care and managing members of the public through the court process * Strong organisation and time management skills * Strong client care skills to assist laypersons navigate the court system * strong attention to detail and to spot technical points in Defences and evidence. * Able to follow instructions of senior staff and comply with internal deadlines * Case management software experience * Self motivated and able to work autonomously and part of a team * Ability to hit high targets on settlement and litigation * Good organisation skills are essential whilst working under pressure *Benefits* Minimum 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays and birthday off (following 12 months of service).
