A leading professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Workday Test Lead to support the delivery of a major Workday implementation and the ongoing testing of future releases. This is a permanent role within a change and transformation function, offering the opportunity to shape testing standards and system assurance across business‑critical programmes.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the end‑to‑end test strategy for a large‑scale Workday implementation and future programmes.
- Lead all phases of testing, including SIT, UAT, regression and end‑to‑end testing.
- Develop and maintain test plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and testing governance.
- Oversee test data, environment readiness, and release testing.
- Drive test automation strategy and implementation using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Manage and mentor internal and external test resources, coordinating activity across projects.
- Act as the main point of contact for testing, working closely with delivery teams and stakeholders.
- Manage defect and risk processes, providing clear reporting and mitigation.
- Produce test metrics, dashboards, and progress updates for senior stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and audit requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Workday Test Lead on large‑scale Workday implementation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of Workday modules specifically Finance and HR.
- Hands‑on experience with test automation and framework design.
- Familiarity with test management and automation tools (e.g. JIRA, ALM, Selenium, Workday testing tools).
- Background in professional services or similarly fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environments.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
