A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our client, a leading legal services group.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and administer the Aderant Expert platform, ensuring stability and availability for finance users.
- Investigate and resolve complex finance systems issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, and reporting solutions.
- Work with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements and process efficiencies.
- Support upgrades, testing, deployments, and integrations across finance systems.
- Maintain system interfaces and ensure data integrity across platforms.
- Produce clear technical and process documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end finance processes.
- Act as an escalation point for finance systems incidents and requests.
- Contribute to finance systems projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Experience
- Experience in a Finance Systems Analyst or similar role within a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Aderant Expert.
- In-depth knowledge of Aderant Expert database structures and table architecture.
- Advanced SQL skills, including query writing, stored procedures, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
- Experience supporting finance operations and finance systems within legal or professional services firms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience with reporting tools and data analysis.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Experience with Aderant integrations and related finance applications.
- Knowledge of SSRS, Power BI, or similar reporting technologies.
- Understanding of law firm finance processes including billing, time recording, and matter accounting.
- Experience supporting systems implementations or project delivery initiatives.
