DGH Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the Professional Services industry who require a Modern Workplace Engineer to join the firm in London on an initial 6 month contract basis.
PLEASE NOTE: This role will fall inside IR35 and will require 3 days in the office per week.
The role will require subject matter expertise of Intune including policy configuration, application deployment, and device management. Additionally, M365 SaaS administration, including elements such as accounts and group management, licenses, and policies.
The specific duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- A strong working knowledge of M365 including the various admin consoles used in the effective provision and administration of this SaaS offering.
- Strong expertise in securing hybrid Microsoft environments using Zero Trust principles, including Entra ID, Intune (MDM and Conditional Access), Defender for Endpoint, SSO, MFA and passwordless authentication (WHfB).
- Subject Matter Expert of Microsoft Intune including device enrolment and compliance, configuration and security policies, application deployment, update and feature management, zero-touch provisioning (AutoPilot and ESP) while ensuring alignment with security, governance, and user experience standards.
- 3rd line support for the Windows operating system and its software components, e.g., .Net Framework, Visual Studio Office Runtime and C++ redistributable.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting tools used in 3rd line support of Windows operating system e.g., Office SARA Tool, Fiddler, Wireshark, process Explorer and ProcDump.
- Application packaging experience, using ORCA, PSAppDeployToolkit (PSADT), PSExec, and DPInst to customise and repackage installers and produce MSI-standard media for enterprise deployment via Microsoft Intune.
- PowerShell scripting skills.
- Provide 3rd line engineering support for O365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote), performing advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis across client configuration, add-ins, profiles, connectivity, authentication, and service dependencies (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online) and driving resolution through close integration with endpoint, identity, and platform services.
