A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Power BI Consultant to join a global law firm on an initial 3 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Usage Analysis & Report Rationalisation - identify overlapping & archive old / unused content
- Semantic Model Review & Optimisation (including large, shared models) - simplify, optimise, and recommend improvements to performance, scalability, and reusability
- Documentation & Catalogue Creation - update existing Power BI Report Catalogue & produce high-level architecture and data-flow diagrams
- Data Dictionary & Business Definitions - create a data dictionary & help establish consistent, trusted definitions for finance reporting
- Security & Governance Review - review & recommend for improved access control and governance including risk assessment relating to workspace naming and structure changes
- DevOps & Future State Recommendations - support Git Integration / PBIR / PBIP & define 'good practice' standards for future development
- Handover & Future Roadmap - provide a clear handover to internal teams & deliver a prioritised list of recommendations and next steps
