We are currently partnered with a global professional services organisation to recruit for Database Engineer. This role sits within a technology team responsible for designing, optimising and maintaining high‑performance database platforms that underpin SaaS applications, reporting environments and client billing systems.

  • Design and optimise scalable, high‑performance SQL database architectures
  • Own and improve stored procedures, reusable scripts and database standards
  • Deliver clear documentation covering data models and architectural decisions
  • Drive database‑focused projects through to delivery
  • Strong experience with Azure SQL and complex relational database design
  • Advanced T‑SQL skills, including stored procedures and performance tuning
  • Experience across OLTP and OLAP data models
  • Expertise in security, scaling, cost optimisation and database maintenance
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g. Azure Data Factory, dbt)
  • Knowledge of Power BI‑optimised data models and reporting performance

Hybrid working: 3 days in the office / 2 days remote (company policy)
