A leading professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Workday Test Lead to support the delivery of a major Workday implementation and the ongoing testing of future releases. This is a permanent role within a change and transformation function, offering the opportunity to shape testing standards and system assurance across business‐critical programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end‐to‐end test strategy for a large‐scale Workday implementation and future programmes.
  • Lead all phases of testing, including SIT, UAT, regression and end‐to‐end testing.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and testing governance.
  • Oversee test data, environment readiness, and release testing.
  • Drive test automation strategy and implementation using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Manage and mentor internal and external test resources, coordinating activity across projects.
  • Act as the main point of contact for testing, working closely with delivery teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage defect and risk processes, providing clear reporting and mitigation.
  • Produce test metrics, dashboards, and progress updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and audit requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Workday Test Lead on large‐scale Workday implementation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday modules specifically Finance and HR.
  • Hands‐on experience with test automation and framework design.
  • Familiarity with test management and automation tools (e.g. JIRA, ALM, Selenium, Workday testing tools).
  • Background in professional services or similarly fast‐paced, delivery‐focused environments.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
