Finance Systems Analyst â London/Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)Permanent â ÂŁ70,000 per annum.
About the roleA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our client, a leading law firm based in London.
Key Responsibilities
Act as an administrator for core finance systems, including Aderant Expert, eBilling Hub, and BillFiler, ensuring optimal performance.
Manage, maintain, and provide technical ownership of practice management systems, their SQL environments, and related integrations.
Identify opportunities for system enhancements, working with teams to analyse, develop, test, and implement improvements.
Provide firstâclass support to finance, HR, BD, and feeâearning teams, resolving systemârelated queries effectively.
Assist with evaluating upgrades, patches, and system fixes to ensure smooth implementation.
Contribute to the delivery of finance and IT projects, ensuring accurate documentation and stakeholder updates.
Maintain finance systems by running regular routines such as monthâend and yearâend processes.
Conduct thorough quality assurance at all stages of systems development and change.
Gather and analyse user requirements to improve usability and streamline workflows.
Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions in collaboration with application managers.
Work with thirdâparty providers and IT teams to resolve system issues and deliver upgrades.
Create adâhoc reports using SQL and business applications to support dataâdriven decisionâmaking.
Write and execute TâSQL scripts and stored procedures as required.
Document processes, procedures, and policies to ensure consistency and audit compliance.
Support ongoing Finance Systems projects and review current processes for opportunities to improve efficiency.
Skills / Expertise
Proficiency in SQL/SSRS with the ability to run queries independently.
Comfortable extracting and analysing data to fulfil adâhoc reporting requests.
Experience working with Aderant Expert or similar practice management systems is desirable.
Strong technical problemâsolving skills with a proactive, solutionsâoriented mindset.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive financial data.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, IT, and other business areas.
Team player with a flexible, positive approach and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when required.
Discreet and professional, demonstrating sensitivity when handling confidential information.
