My client based in London is recruiting for a Business Analyst to join the team for a 12 month FTC. The Business Analyst will lead best-practice adoption, ensuring strategic alignment across change initiatives and work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify capability gaps and ensure strategic objectives are met. Previous experience working on an office relocation project/ Smart building project is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and embed Business Analysis best practices across the Business Analysis community.
  • Provide foresight and insight to guide transformation initiatives and influence strategic decision-making.
  • Develop, agree, and manage Business Analysis plans and engagement approaches for assigned work.
  • Conduct effective stakeholder engagement and elicitation, ensuring clear, validated, and shared understanding of information.
  • Define and document AS-IS and TO-BE states, business needs, and requirements using appropriate modelling techniques.
  • Identify capability gaps and propose solutions that deliver value and align with strategic priorities.
  • Manage scope, requirements, and design artefacts, ensuring traceability and effective change control.
  • Evaluate solution options and ensure that requirements and designs meet quality expectations.
  • Monitor solution performance to ensure realisation of anticipated benefits, removing barriers to value delivery.

Technical Competencies

  • Drive adoption of BA best practices and foster strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to inform demand management, change strategies, and planning.
  • Establish appropriate governance for scope and requirement management.
  • Conduct, validate, and document all elicitation activities to ensure accuracy and eliminate conflicting views.
  • Use modelling techniques (e.g., BPMN, use cases, data flow models) to articulate AS-IS, TO-BE, needs, and requirements.
  • Assess solution feasibility, considering costs, benefits, risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Experience working on Smart Building projects in particular Building Management Systems, Automated HVAC and Lighting, Centralised Control Platform, Energy optimisation, Desk & meeting room booking, Live occupancy maps / wayfinding, Visitor management + check-in and Integrated services (food, lockers, parking).
