Are you a bit of a tech enthusiast with a keen eye for making things work better? Do you fancy getting stuck into the nitty-gritty of legal innovation, helping a top-notch law firm actually do what everyone else is just talking about? Good. Because I'm looking for an Innovation Executive to join a seriously forward-thinking team.
This isn't one of those jobs where you just warm a seat and make the tea. This is a permanent opportunity where you'll be right in the thick of it. You'll be helping to shape and deliver the firm's innovation strategy β think cutting-edge legal tech, cracking client programmes, and making sure everyone else has the tools to deliver top-tier legal advice without losing their minds.
This role is perfect for someone ambitious, proactive, and happy to roll their sleeves up. If you're keen to grow your skills, turn your hand to new tech, and genuinely make your mark, you'll love it here. You'll be reporting into an Innovation Manager or Senior Manager, so you'll have proper support whilst getting on with some seriously interesting projects.
What you'll actually be doing (the good stuff, not the fluff):
- Jumping headfirst into legal tech projects: This means everything from sniffing out the best new tech on the market, dealing with vendors, getting new tools set up, and making sure people actually know how to use them through decent comms and training.
- Helping to get Gen AI off the ground: You'll be helping assess which generative AI tools are actually useful for the firm, assisting with the adoption plan, helping to define what 'success' looks like, and making sure everyone knows what's going on.
- Backing brilliant client programmes: Supporting clients and making sure they are benefiting from all this cool new tech too.
- Making life easier with automation: Finding ways to make things more efficient, especially using tools like Microsoft Power Automate. If you can see a quicker way to do something, they want to hear it!
- Breaking down silos: Helping teams across Legal Ops, Pricing & Analytics, Legal Project Management, and others to actually talk to each other and work together on cool initiatives.
- Chatting to everyone: You'll be dealing with partners, clients, and people across all levels of the firm. So, being able to communicate professionally is key.
- Being a champion of change: Helping people get to grips with new ways of working and new systems, because let's face it, change can be a bit of a nightmare for some.
- Keeping things tidy: Making sure the intranet pages are up-to-date and all the essential info and procedures are well-documented.
What they're after in you:
- A keen interest in legal service innovation, legal tech, and building good client relationships. Basically, you've got to actually want to do this stuff!
- A basic grasp (and interest in developing) process automation using Power Automate or similar. Being slick with Office365 is a given.
- Someone who can spot a problem a mile off and come up with clever solutions.
- Sharp attention to detail and someone who takes real pride in their work. Excellent communication skills and happy to work well in a team, chatting to anyone from the newest starter to a seasoned partner.
- You're a wiz at organising your time and can keep your head when multi-tasking and under a bit of time pressure.
- A collaborative spirit, open to change, and confident enough to suggest improvements. If you see a better way, speak up!
- Experience in a diverse team and someone who champions an inclusive culture.
- A high level of professionalism and integrity.
The Nitty Gritty:
- Location: London-based, so you'll be near the action.
- Hybrid Working: Yes, because they're not savages. It's roughly 50% on-site, so think 2 days one week, 3 the next, that sort of jazz.
- Good opps for career development, progression and ongoing training.
- Salary: Β£45,000 - Β£55,000 β a solid shout for this level of role and a proper chance to get stuck into some groundbreaking work.
