A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our client, a leading legal services group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and administer the Aderant Expert platform, ensuring stability and availability for finance users
  • Investigate and resolve complex finance systems issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, and reporting solutions
  • Work with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements and process efficiencies
  • Support upgrades, testing, deployments, and integrations across finance systems
  • Maintain system interfaces and ensure data integrity across platforms
  • Produce clear technical and process documentation
  • Support month-end and year-end finance processes
  • Act as an escalation point for finance systems incidents and requests
  • Contribute to finance systems projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Experience

  • Experience in a Finance Systems Analyst or similar role within a legal or professional services environment
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Aderant Expert
  • In-depth knowledge of Aderant Expert database structures and table architecture
  • Advanced SQL skills, including query writing, stored procedures, troubleshooting, and optimisation
  • Experience supporting finance operations and finance systems within legal or professional services firms
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Experience with reporting tools and data analysis
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Experience with Aderant integrations and related finance applications
  • Knowledge of SSRS, Power BI, or similar reporting technologies
  • Exposure to Elite, Intapp, or other legal technology platforms
  • Understanding of law firm finance processes including billing, time recording, and matter accounting
  • Experience supporting systems implementations or project delivery initiatives
