A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our client, a leading legal services group.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and administer the Aderant Expert platform, ensuring stability and availability for finance users
- Investigate and resolve complex finance systems issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, and reporting solutions
- Work with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements and process efficiencies
- Support upgrades, testing, deployments, and integrations across finance systems
- Maintain system interfaces and ensure data integrity across platforms
- Produce clear technical and process documentation
- Support month-end and year-end finance processes
- Act as an escalation point for finance systems incidents and requests
- Contribute to finance systems projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Experience
- Experience in a Finance Systems Analyst or similar role within a legal or professional services environment
- Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Aderant Expert
- In-depth knowledge of Aderant Expert database structures and table architecture
- Advanced SQL skills, including query writing, stored procedures, troubleshooting, and optimisation
- Experience supporting finance operations and finance systems within legal or professional services firms
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Experience with reporting tools and data analysis
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Experience with Aderant integrations and related finance applications
- Knowledge of SSRS, Power BI, or similar reporting technologies
- Exposure to Elite, Intapp, or other legal technology platforms
- Understanding of law firm finance processes including billing, time recording, and matter accounting
- Experience supporting systems implementations or project delivery initiatives
