DGH Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the professional services industry who require an Azure Cloud Engineer to join the firm in London. You will help architect, secure, and operate Proskauer’s Azure platform while maintaining critical hybrid infrastructure services that support the Firm’s international business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide architectural direction and hands-on engineering for secure hybrid infrastructure across Azure, 3rd party SaaS platforms, and on-premises systems.
- Design and evolve an enterprise Azure landing zone and multi-subscription architecture (management groups, policy/RBAC, naming/tagging standards, shared services).
- Deploy and operate Azure IaaS/PaaS services such as virtual machines, storage (Azure Files/File Shares), and platform services aligned to business requirements.
- Plan and execute infrastructure movement techniques (VMware/Windows/Linux), including application migrations, into Azure, by discovery, dependency mapping, landing zone readiness, cutover planning, and decommissioning.
- Own core Azure networking design and operations, including vNETs/subnets, routing, peering, private endpoints, NSGs, and network security patterns.
- Manage hybrid connectivity concepts such as ExpressRoute, vWAN, VPN gateways, and integration with on-prem network services.
- Support hybrid identity across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access and identity governance controls aligned with Zero Trust principles.
- Implement and maintain Azure security and governance controls (Policy/initiative, RBAC, logging/monitoring, and automated compliance guardrails).
- Maintain working knowledge and provide escalation support of VMware vSphere environment, Windows Servers, Active Directory services, DHCP/DNS, and other core enterprise systems.
Required Skills:
- Excellent in managing cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and implementing design best practices.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Microsoft Azure in an enterprise environment.
- Infrastructure-as-Code and automation experience (Terraform and/or equivalent; PowerShell scripting) to deploy and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including reusable modules and CI/CD integrations.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services; familiarity with Purview concepts (eDiscovery, retention) strongly preferred.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills; able to produce clear designs, documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and AI-enabled productivity/security concepts (e.g., Copilot) and their governance implications.
