A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Knowledge Management Administrator to join a leading law firm in London on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the evolution and growth of the KM database to ensure ongoing expansion in content volume and value.
- Assist with maintenance and updating of KM intranet content including precedents, practice notes, client briefings, and legal resources to ensure accuracy and alignment with house style.
- Act as first point of contact for Partners and Fee Earners requiring legal research resources.
- Operate search desk and enquiry service including retrieval of cases not available on online resources.
- Consolidate Cayman and BVI legislation for inclusion in internal legal resources.
- Encourage KM database usage and ensure precedents and relevant know-how are accessible to Partners and fee-earners.
- Identify, review and prepare documents for automated document assembly and code them within ADA system under supervision.
- Develop and maintain guidance, training materials, and best-practice resources for KM practices.
- Maintain client briefing repository, monitor updates and coordinate editing for external publication.
- Manage hard copy libraries and liaise with KM members regarding other jurisdictions.
- Recommend new acquisitions and monitor budget and expenditure on hard copy items.
- Keep fee earners informed of new editions via internal communications.
- Maintain relevant records and spreadsheets.
- Work with iManage, SharePoint, Visio, Contract Express and Microsoft 365 applications.
Key Experience
- Ability to perform legal research.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Strong time management skills with experience working to tight reporting deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to work effectively on own initiative.
- High level proficiency with IT business software packages including Microsoft 365 applications.
- Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Commitment to self-development to remain current in knowledge management affairs.
- Experience with iManage, SharePoint, Visio and Contract Express is desirable.
- Experience with AI-enabled legal technology or knowledge tools is advantageous.
