We are currently partnered with a global professional services firm to recruit for an Azure Cloud Engineer. You will play a key role in supporting, enhancing, and continuously improving a Microsoft Azure cloud platform, with a focus on engineering, automation, security, and operational excellence across business-critical services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide 3rd line support across a wide range of Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, Terraform, containers, and Azure DevOps
  • Build, maintain, and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Automate workflows using Azure tools such as Logic Apps and Functions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance, availability, and reliability issues in the cloud environment
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met using Azure policies, roles, and permissions
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of Azure infrastructure aligned to best practice standards

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in Azure administration/engineering (circa 3+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services including networking (VNets, VPN, private endpoints), compute, and storage
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with CI/CD and version control tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and Azure security tools

Additional details:

  • Salary: Β£55,000
  • Location: Birmingham (3 days per week on-site)
  • Participation in an on-call rota for major incidents
