A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Director of Technology Services based in London, supporting EMEA and Asia within an international law firm.
This leadership role is responsible for driving high-quality IT service delivery, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and improving operational performance while supporting strategic technology initiatives across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support IT service delivery across EMEA and Asia, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and user satisfaction.
- Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to align technology services with business priorities and strategic objectives.
- Support the planning, delivery, and governance of technology projects, process improvements, and change initiatives.
- Define, monitor, and improve service levels, KPIs, customer experience measures, and operational reporting.
- Oversee IT support teams, providing leadership, coaching, performance management, and continuous development.
- Promote adoption of approved technologies, including AI-enabled tools, automation, and Service Now to improve productivity and service efficiency.
- Manage major incidents, service improvement initiatives, asset and configuration management, and IT service management processes.
- Collaborate with global technology teams to standardise services, improve operational efficiency, and share best practices.
- Support vendor management, budget oversight, compliance with security and governance standards, and executive reporting.
- Travel to regional offices as required to engage with business stakeholders and support operational delivery.
- Key Experience
- Significant leadership experience within IT operations and technology service delivery.
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred.
- Strong background in stakeholder management, business relationship management, and aligning IT with business objectives.
- Experience leading IT support teams, operational improvements, and organisational change.
- Knowledge of IT service management principles, Service Now, Agile/Dev Ops methodologies, and project portfolio management.
- Understanding of AI-enabled workplace technologies and automation.
- Experience managing technology projects, service performance, vendors, budgets, and operational reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring, delegation, and team development experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
