If you’re passionate about shaping the future of legal tech and want a role where your ideas actually have impact, this one is worth a look. A leading global firm is hiring a Manager of Innovation and AI to join a highly regarded team that delivers some of the most exciting technology programmes in the sector.
You’ll report directly into the Director of Innovation and AI and work as part of a tight, collaborative group of around seven specialists who sit across London and the US. The team is responsible for driving AI adoption, running pilots, refining attorney workflows, rolling out new tools and helping the wider firm work smarter and more efficiently. They have recently stabilised their inhouse platform, and their focus for 2026 includes change management, smarter adoption and continuously improving the operating framework.
This is a replacement role and whoever joins will have the space to shape things as they go. They would love someone who brings fresh thinking, a curious mindset and a genuine interest in helping lawyers and legal teams get the best out of technology.
You’ll be partnering very closely with Business Development and supporting lawyers on how to use the tools available to them, so strong communication skills and the ability to guide people through change are essential.
What you’ll be doing:
- Advising lawyers, legal staff and clients on the best use of technology and AI in live matters
- Working on projects such as contract automation, transaction management and collaboration tooling
- Overseeing the selection, implementation, roll out and adoption of new tech solutions and AI enabled platforms
- Working closely with technical teams, procurement and external vendors
- Testing new tools, providing feedback and helping shape improvements
- Owning the operational running of live client facing programmes
- Turning usage data and metrics into recommendations for enhancements
- Managing the pipeline of innovation and tech opportunities
- Occasionally travelling internationally to support global initiatives
What they’re looking for:
- Experience in a law firm, legal department or legal tech business
- Strong understanding of common legal tech applications including due diligence review platforms, contract automation and collaboration tools
- Hands on experience rolling out tools such as Contract Express, HotDocs, HighQ or AI platforms like Harvey or Hebbia
- A background as a lawyer who moved into tech or someone who has done a similar legal innovation role
- Good understanding of practice workflows and the realities of legal delivery
- Strong consulting abilities, communication skills and confidence presenting to lawyers
- A diplomatic style that supports change management and encourages adoption
- Solid project delivery skills, particularly in a matrixed and global environment
What you’ll get:
You’ll be joining a firm that genuinely values innovation and has a clear roadmap for how technology will support the business. You’ll work directly with partners, senior business leaders and a global network of colleagues who are passionate about modernising how legal services are delivered. The salary is around 100k with an excellent benefits package, including private medical insurance, pension matched up to 7.5 percent, wellbeing funds, private GP services, dental cover, income protection, travel insurance and more. The role is based in London with three days in the office and two from home.
If you’re ready for a role where you can influence strategy, champion AI adoption and help shape the next chapter of legal innovation, this could be a great move. Apply now or pop your CV over to nruocco@dghrecruitment.co.uk
