A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Storage Engineer to join our London based global law firm on an initial 6 month contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide SME-level support across storage infrastructure, mentoring junior team members in storage technologies.
  • Manage and maintain server, storage, and virtualisation platforms within a data centre environment.
  • Perform storage presentations, host migrations, device expansions, and VM-related engineering tasks.
  • Reverse engineer environments from virtual machines, filter VMs, and manage Legacy storage transitions.
  • Work across technologies including Dell PowerMax, Dell EMC Isilon, Cisco MDS Fabric, VMware, and Legacy HyperFlex nodes.
  • Develop and execute scripts using PowerCLI and PowerShell to support automation and system management.
  • Operate across multiple time zones, managing concurrent tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Support out-of-hours change windows (evenings/weekends) as required.

Key Experience

  • Strong expertise in enterprise storage platforms (Dell PowerMax, Dell EMC Isilon).
  • Solid experience with server infrastructure and virtualisation technologies, particularly VMware.
  • Proficiency in Scripting (PowerShell, PowerCLI) for automation and administration.
  • Experience with Cisco MDS Fabric Switches and broader data centre networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Proven ability to work in complex, multi-region environments with overlapping time zones.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers within infrastructure teams.
  • Comfortable working occasional out-of-hours change windows without on-call requirements.
