A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior AV Systems Specialist/Junior Audio Visual Analyst to join our London based global law firm on a permanent basis.
Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive IT AV Junior Systems Technician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in AV. The successful candidate will work alongside a senior AV Technician, who will primarily handle the events on our client floor. The junior role will involve shadowing the senior technician during events to learn how they are managed. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of 56 meeting rooms within our building, with a particular focus on the main client area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems across hardware, software, and network components to ensure smooth operations within all meeting rooms.
- Have a user experience lens to everything, ensuring the technology is simple and seamless to use, for internal customers, clients or others.
- Support routine updates, patches, and system checks to maintain optimal performance and security of IT infrastructure.
- Proactively reporting issues to the relevant team(s).
- Install, set up, and configure software applications, operating systems, and hardware devices to meet the business needs.
- Offer technical assistance to end-users and clients, guiding them through technical challenges, and effectively communicating complex concepts to non-technical individuals.
Experience required:
- Previous experience within a legal partnership or professional services environment.
- Experience of supporting/troubleshooting Windows 10, Windows 11, and Apple Mac devices.
- Familiarity with help desk software (such as ServiceNow).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic technical knowledge of audio-visual equipment and meeting room technologies.
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
- Enthusiastic about AV and eager to progress in their career.
- Flexible with working hours, which may vary between 8am-9pm.
- Experience of network troubleshooting.
- Experience of AVMI/Video Conferencing.
