About The Role: Location: Kings Mill Hospital Specialty: Orthopaedic day case and elective hip and knee surgery Focus: Enhanced recovery and excellent patient outcomes Key Responsibilities: Pre-operative Preparation: Assist in preparing patients, including group and clinic work. This role will involve working either a Saturday or a Sunday each week to cover our weekend Orthopaedic rota. Person Specification Knowledge Requirements Essential: Computer skills Manual handling skills Qualifications Essential: NVQ Level III in Care \”Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support\” award or equivalent qualification GCSE or GCE \’O\’ Level Experience Essential: 2 years experience of working with patients Experience of working with patients in a therapy department Contractual Requirements Essential: Participation in Saturday/Bank Holiday work on a rota basis This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
