Role Description


The Operations Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Tonbridge, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees day-to-day operational delivery of security services, including scheduling and deploying door supervisors, event security staff, and stewards across multiple sites. The Operations Manager will coordinate staff rosters, manage resource allocation, and monitor service performance to ensure contracts and compliance standards are met. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, handling operational issues, supporting incident management, and maintaining accurate records and reports. The role also involves collaborating on training needs, supporting recruitment and onboarding of security personnel, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.


Qualifications



  • Demonstrated experience in operations management, preferably within security, events, or related service industries.

  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills, including workforce planning, rota management, and resource coordination.

  • Proficiency in communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, staff, and partners.

  • Sound knowledge of relevant security regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety practices.

  • Competence with common office and operations software (e.g., spreadsheets, scheduling tools, email, and reporting systems).

  • Leadership and team management capabilities, including performance monitoring, problem-solving, and decision-making under pressure.

  • Ability to work both on-site in Tonbridge and remotely, with strong self-management and time-management skills.

  • Relevant security or management qualifications (such as SIA licensing, security management, or business/operations management) are beneficial.

  • Previous experience in event security, door supervision, or training coordination is an advantage.
