Job Details

DGA Group is looking for an exceptional individual to become our next Director, contributing their talent to one of the top public affairs consultancies in the country and a leading life science practice. This role offers growth into increased client leadership and strategic responsibilities. Based out of our London office near St Paul\’s, the role will involve navigating political and policy challenges, working with top-tier businesses, and fostering innovation alongside our friendly, vibrant, and award-winning team. Location

Blackfriars, London (hybrid, min. three days per week in the office – Tues, Weds, Thurs). Please note that DGA will not sponsor the relocation of candidates.

Requirements

Approx. 8 years experience in a relevant public affairs, parliamentary, political or communications position, ideally with consultancy experience in health. Candidates with more experience will also be considered. Please note, at DGA Group, the Director role is a similar level to Account Director/Associate Director positions in other firms.

Experience of establishing and nurturing strong working relationships with senior leaders in business, the NHS, politics, government and interest groups (e.g. patient associations and NGOs) and be able to maintain an understanding of clients\’ policy, political and commercial objectives.

A proven ability as a strong communicator and someone who is able to provide strategic political, policy and communications advice to clients and/or senior leaders.

Expertise in helping clients and businesses achieve their objectives through the development of effective public affairs programmes.

An ability to work at pace, prioritise tasks, delegate where necessary, and deliver high quality work within tight deadlines.

Good writing skills are essential.

The ability and enthusiasm to play a proactive role in business development, including identifying potential leads and contributing to pitches and proposals.

Experience in leading, coaching, managing and participating in teams to successfully deliver programmes of work.

Effectively utilize research and innovative tools to the benefit of clients and the team
