Director, Complex Communications Advisory UK
DGA Group is looking for a talented and driven Director with a creative drive and passion for financial, corporate and crisis communications, to join our growing team. A Director’s primary role is to support DGA’s communications accounts and be the beating heart of teams. They will advise a broad range of clients on how to develop and execute cutting-edge communication strategies, build positive relationships with key audiences and create moments to help them successfully tell their story and deliver on commercial and policy objectives. We are an entrepreneurial and diverse team and are looking for an individual with energy, enthusiasm and great ideas who will contribute actively and vocally to the culture of the agency, and the teams they help run to deliver a brilliant service to a wide variety of great clients.

Location Blackfriars, London (hybrid, min. three days per week in the office – Tue, Weds, Thurs)
Responsibilities
- Advise companies on high-stakes events such as crises, regulatory issues, and activist situations
- Support clients’ financial calendar activity and during financial milestones including M&A, IPO, and restructuring
- Execute communications strategies and integrated campaigns that protect clients’ reputation, enterprise value, and license to operate
- Engage directly with external stakeholders, media, and influencers on behalf of clients
- Serve as a primary day-to-day client contact on sensitive matters and establish strong client relationships
- Act as project manager, ensuring consistent team delivery across simultaneous engagements
- Help lead, maintain, and actively grow new client relationships and business opportunities

- Engage with clients on their most complex issues
- Consistently display excellent project management and organisational skills
- Manage the delivery of written materials, including talking points, proposals, and issue analysis, being accountable for consistency and quality of other team members’ work
- Understand confidentiality and act with integrity at all times
- Effectively utilise research and innovative tools to the benefit of clients and the team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in communications advisory, an in-house or consulting role.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms and use of listening tools to plan and execute strategies
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and oversee junior team members to a high standard
- Awareness of current affairs and industry trends, with the ability to use a broad range of sources to inform opinion and ideas
