DGA Group is looking for an exceptional individual to become our next Associate Partner, contributing to one of the top public affairs consultancies and a leading life sciences practice. As an Associate Partner at DGA, you will play a leading role in the delivery of high‑quality work across multinational health sector clients and the development of the international health and life sciences business. Based out of our London office near St Paul’s, the role will involve navigating political and policy challenges, working with top‑tier businesses, and fostering innovation alongside an award‑winning team.
Location: Blackfriars, London (hybrid, minimum three days per week in the office – Tue, Wed, Thu). DGA will not sponsor relocation.
Requirements:
- Approx. 10+ years’ experience in public affairs, parliamentary, political or communications roles, with consultancy experience in health policy and communications – gained through in‑house experience in pharma, consultancy or advisory work.
- Experience establishing and nurturing relationships with senior leaders in business, the NHS, politics, government and interest groups and maintaining understanding of clients’ policy, political and commercial objectives.
- A proven ability to communicate strategically and provide political, policy and communications advice to clients and/or senior leaders.
- In‑depth knowledge of health and regulatory policy and a strong understanding of decision‑making processes, key influencers and the wider health policy ecosystem.
- Ability to work at pace, prioritise tasks, delegate where necessary and deliver high‑quality work within tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in an international team.
Expectations:
- Lead client accounts by developing and implementing strategic public affairs and communications programmes, including budgeting and execution across health and life sciences sectors.
- Represent clients before institutions, stakeholders and trade associations, and co‑lead policy monitoring efforts.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative London team.
- Design and implement innovative, integrated campaigns to shape the broader policy environment.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through sector expertise and networking; lead and support pitches.
- Enhance DGA’s visibility through events, publications and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage the creation and quality of written materials and demonstrate strong project management and organisational skills.
- Promote collaboration, act with integrity and confidentiality, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Utilise research and innovative tools for client benefit, remain intellectually curious and share knowledge to strengthen team capabilities.
