About the role - DFYNE Your Career

I’m Verity, leading the Product Team here at DFYNE HQ. I’m looking for someone who’s going to work alongside our amazing Design team to help create exceptional quality products. We have a small but efficient team, and we do things a little differently at DFYNE. Everyone on the team is responsible for taking their styles/collections from initial concept all the way through to final launch. This includes concepts, sketches, tech packs, fit sessions, liaising with suppliers and following production. With consistent month on month growth, the environment is fast paced, and ideas are constantly evolving, change is something we embrace. It’s no easy task and it won’t be for everybody but if you are organised, willing to take on the challenge and keen to be involved in every aspect of product development this opportunity could be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Design
    • Understand the brand and consistently come up with ideas and designs that align with our market.
    • Create detailed technical sketches in Adobe Illustrator.
    • Select colour palettes that work with the collection.
    • Understand material technology and make informed design choices.
  • Development
    • Create detailed tech packs for each style that are easily understood by our suppliers, limiting sample time.
    • Create patterns and 3D visualisations in CLO3D (training will be provided).
    • Conduct fit sessions of all styles digitally and physically and clearly communicate any alterations with the supplier.
    • Track your own developments in a critical path to ensure product launch timelines are accurate.
  • Production
    • Approve all designs, fits and technical details for production with the suppliers.
    • Work alongside our buyers to raise the PO and track production times.
    • Make sure any samples needed by our marketing departments are on time on location.

Experience Needed

We don’t hire only on experience for this role, however a background in Garment Technology and Product Development is Desirable.
