About the role
As the Order Management Team Leader, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of specialists to oversee financial transactions, customer order balances, and refund processes while ensuring compliance with established business policies. You will manage group IFC settlements and month-end close activities, monitor SLAs and KPIs, and drive process standardisation across brands to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders in Finance, Financial Services, and Audit, ensuring strong collaborative relationships and standard service delivery.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Leading, training, and upskilling the team to build capability, improve technical knowledge, and support Personal development plans (PDP's).
- Allocating resources effectively to ensure key tasks, operational priorities, and deadlines are achieved.
- Reviewing and reporting including aging on customer balances to ensure the team and business are following agreed procedures.
- Overseeing the customer refund process to ensure we are working effectively and accurately.
- Managing the IFC settlement process across the group, ensuring any issues are flagged to relevant parties in a timely manner and action is being taken.
- Managing relevant month end close activities.
- Driving standardisation - identifying changes to process to align brands and remove ‘brand separation of the team and process.
- Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Leading and driving within the team the culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identifying growth opportunities, assessing performance, and actively participating in professional development initiatives.
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, building strong, effective relationships with Finance, Financial Services, Audit and other internal teams.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Sales ledger experience required.
- Leadership and development of a team including running effective 1:1's, team meetings and performance discussions.
- Proficient in G suite and ability to prepare and present data to support activities.
- Experienced in resolving queries and producing regular reporting to update stakeholders.
- Experience of payment and banking platforms advantageous.
- Strong demonstrable experience of process improvement and supporting new technologies and/or system changes.
- Broad understanding of financial controls and compliance.
Don't let it discourage you if you don't have all of this experience, it's a guideline that will help you hit the ground running. If the role sounds like it would be a great fit for you and you're confident that it suits you, we'd love you to apply.
