As an eCommerce Assistant you will support the wider department with online merchandising, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), digital project development, and key project support . You will execute best-in-class online merchandising through excellent management of product, category, page, third party tools and search functionality while fostering a curious mindset and adopting AI technologies to optimize workflows. You will be analytical and be able to translate data into actions, whilst also supporting the Senior Online Trading Manager with project, product and campaign delivery. What you'll be responsible for
Effectively managing product, category, and online optimisations.
Ensuring products are effectively managed through attribution, data feed management, and content optimisation across all channels.
Maximising website, category, and product merchandising using best practice optimisation.
Maintaining the accuracy of product information, images, and pricing on the website and all third party tools.
Ensuring all new products and product updates are launched online and in third party tools in alignment with the critical path.
Working collaboratively with the Senior Online Trading Manager and digital teams to execute the online trading and conversion rate optimisation strategy to drive sales performance.
Analysing metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and ContentSquare to monitor ongoing online performance.
Utilising insights to identify revenue and conversion rate growth opportunities across product pages, search results, product list pages, and category content.
Ensuring all content SEO updates are managed in the CMS according to the prioritisation plan.
Performing regular site walks, checks, and quality assurance on banners, links, range display pages, and product detail pages to ensure pages are updated, correct, and customer journey issues are resolved.
Collaborating with the Insights, Direct, Store, and Customer Care teams to identify and report trading frictions across the business.
Ensuring product listing pages are merchandised, on brand, and optimised in line with merchandising and trading strategies.
Maximising cross and up selling opportunities across all site categories.
Managing site search functionality, search results, failed searches, and performing synonym reviews.
Optimising sales by regularly updating and refining trading pages.
Supporting ecommerce marketing initiatives, including promotions, events, product launches, and campaigns.
Conducting weekly competitor analysis to support trading and marketing teams.
Reviewing weekly search, navigation, and search engine optimisation analytics to recommend optimisations and opportunities.
Providing project coordination, development support, and tracking for digital initiatives across the department.
Embracing and adopting artificial intelligence tools to enhance operational efficiency, data analysis, and content optimisation.
Conducting weekly QA across all site pages and providing support for the weekly release program..
We're looking for someone who has
A prior background in an e-commerce retail setting (desirable).
A solid grasp of core digital merchandising strategies.
Familiarity with CRO concepts, digital project tracking, and release support.
Foundational knowledge of SEO principles and optimization practices.
The ability to analyze commercial metrics to drive actionable insights.
Strong organisational capabilities alongside clear, articulate communication skills.
A collaborative team player who naturally fosters positive working relationships.
Meticulous attention to detail spanning data analysis and creative executions.
Excellent time management with an ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
A knack for building cross-functional connections and engaging key business stakeholders.
An inquisitive mindset toward adopting and applying modern AI tools
