The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Working within our Lincoln House Site, you will ensure that trailers of furniture are moved between locations in a safe and professional manner. Always working in a safe and professional manner, you will ensure that there is no damage to the furniture whilst it is of your responsibility.
Ensuring full fleet capacity by ensuring vehicles and trailers are presented to workshops on time for PMI/MOT. Work with the warehouse and transport teams to ensure that equipment is presented for loading, unloading and parked for onward delivery in a safe and timely manner. Ensure SoDelCo/DFS and third party hauliers on site are compliant with site rules, parking in designated areas and correct PPE.
Represent values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do. Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer. Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicle and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects and/or damage immediately.
Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures. Fully understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of driving hours, tachograph and the road transport directive. Ensure that any damages to your vehicle, customer property, or furniture is reported to your manager as soon as possible, following the correct reporting processes. Work in line with The Group's policies and procedures.
This role is for you if:
- Uphold brilliant standards of personal presentation every day
- Professional conduct at all times when representing the Company to its customers
- Physically able to complete the requirements of the role
- Able to manage and organise a busy transport yard
- Strong communication skills
- Experience of working as part of a strong, well-functioning team
- Able to correctly operate a tachograph with a full understanding of UK Transport Law
- A knowledge of daily vehicle maintenance
- Hold a UK Driving license with HGV Entitlement - Class 1 HGV Driver entitlement / C+E licence
- No more than 6 points on your license with no major endorsements
- Valid Digital tachograph card
- Tachograph and RTD management to be accurate
- CPC Card
