DFP Services has a great opportunity for Gas, Plumbing and Heating Engineers in the North West region. DFP provides planned and reactive maintenance, response & repair to all types of gas heating and plumbing to care homes, NHS buildings, universities, local councils, sheltered housing, commercial shops, and many other properties throughout the country.
Job Role:
- To carry out diagnostic fault finding to boilers, water heaters, warm air, etc.
- Maintenance & PPM certification paperwork to be completed on PDA.
- Efficiently maintain and repair gas plant equipment, plumbing, heating systems and components.
- Identify areas for additional works within and out of the specified contractual requirements, supplying accurate quotations where required for any additional works.
- Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately on time, and to exceed the customer's expectations.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
Personnel Specification:
- Commercial gas qualifications
- Commercial gas experience
- Gas Safe
- CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1
- A good general experience in working in care homes or public sector environment preferable.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Generally, IT literate.
- Clear communicator both oral and written.
- A customer focused approach.
- Plumbing, AC, commercial plant fault finding preferable.
- Good general knowledge of electrics is preferable.
Salary: Up to £40,000 per year. 8:00am-16:30 5 days per week 40 Hours. (Overtime rate is paid after 40 hours prior to OOHs call outs) Call out rota 1 week in 4.
