Role Summary

Think Beyond is an agency with impact at its heart. We believe that sport can play a role in creating a more sustainable, inclusive and equitable world. More fundamentally, we recognise that commercial growth and meaningful change can – and should – sit side by side. While many talk about it, we have been living this belief for a decade, supporting our clients to deliver positive impact and commercial growth across their businesses, their communities and their sports.

We are now taking this work to the next level by building a dedicated team to reinvent the way partnerships in sport are found, formed, valued and executed.

We are looking for a driven, passionate and commercially savvy individual to join the business and lead our work in this space. Building on our expertise, they will be responsible for finalising the proposition, taking it to market and ultimately securing work with clients who share our belief in a new way of doing things.

This is an incredibly exciting role for the right person. You will have the freedom to shape the role in the way you see fit. You’ll build on some sector-leading work in the sustainability and social impact space, but with the opportunity to truly define what a new market proposition looks like. We believe that our expertise and track record enables us to approach the sponsorship market in a fundamentally new way.

You will have experience across agency, rights-holder and/or brand (ideally a blend) and will understand what each side is looking for in a successful partnership. You will also have a vision for how things can be done differently – we want someone who is bold and imaginative enough to re-think how commercial partnerships can be created and delivered. Finally, you will know how to take a new proposition to market and have the drive and resilience to build something new.

You will:

Develop Think Beyond’s commercial partnerships offering:

  • Utilising your knowledge of the sponsorship market and working closely with Think Beyond Managing Partner (and others), further develop Think Beyond’s approach to building and delivering impact-first partnerships
  • Identify how TB can most effectively use its unique position in the market to offer both brands and rights-holders a compelling proposition that they would be unable to get elsewhere
  • Ensure the rigour behind the offering is in place by building out a valuation and evaluation methodology that demonstrates the value and ROI of impact-driven partnerships

Lead on go-to-market strategy

  • Utilising your network of contacts, work closely with Director of Business Growth (and others) to identify and maximise opportunities to take the new proposition to market
  • Develop insights and thought leadership that enables us to lead the market in this space
  • Work with Directors to provide current clients with an understanding of our new capabilities
  • Secure new client work

Support key account delivery and business development

  • Oversee delivery on key accounts where commercial partnerships are a critical element, supporting the team to deliver first-class work
  • Share expertise with broader team, embedding commercial thinking and mindset into the team
  • Utilise extensive contact book to bring new opportunities for Think Beyond across the full spectrum of service offerings

You will have:

  • An exceptional understanding of the opportunities and challenges within the sports sponsorship markets
  • A drive to change the way things have ‘traditionally’ been done in sponsorships and spearhead a new way of thinking
  • A proven background in creating and delivering sponsorships
  • A wide range of contacts in the sports industry and beyond
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently, efficiently and strategically
  • A creative mind and a “think-outside-the-box” attitude.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • A commitment and belief in the ability of sport to create social change.
  • The right to work in the UK.

For You:

  • Flexible/hybrid working – 3 days a week in the office
  • A vibrant central London office environment
  • 22 days holiday and flexible working arrangements, plus office closure at over Christmas
  • Private health insurance plus cash plan
  • Health and Wellness Programme
