Pepsi Lipton is a joint venture between Unilever and PepsiCo to manufacture and sell iced tea branded products around the world. Lipton Ice tea is globally the No1 Ready to drink Ice Tea, with a $3 bn turnover. The Global Brand Manager role is part of the Global Marketing Team based out of London. The Global team plays a central role within the JV, responsible for defining the long term marketing strategy, especially on our Global Lipton brand, on our sustainability agenda, and our Horizon 2/3 innovation program.
This is an exciting and dynamic role, reporting into the Global Senior Marketing Manager to build a strong communications program, both internal and external, for our brands and our business. The role works closely with the Regions, our advertising agency partners and cross-functional teams; Insights, Technical to create award winning campaigns, unmissable creative ideas, and E2E brand experience. The role requires very strong project management skills and an understanding of the world of communications - creative, design & media agencies.
The main deliverables will include:
- Help lead the Internal and External communications program and big scale conferences
- Strong judge of creative ideas and ability to clearly communicate with agency partners to shape strong, unmissable campaigns and programs
- Work closely with regions & markets to execute with excellence
- Ability to bring a strategic lens to content development
- Exceptional Project management of the different communication workstreams to deliver high quality programs, on time and in full
- Own and actively manage budgets to deliver efficiencies and strong ROI
- Help shape and lead the Marketing capability program for the JV, bringing outside in, best in class inspiration to upskill the marketing community
- Help deliver internal & external awards agenda; driving growth in awards submissions and elevating internal marketing awards event
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Business skills
- The candidate should have a real passion for deep consumer understanding, communications, and exceptional project management skills.
- Established experience in a communications role – either brand or creative agency side
- Experience working with global teams / on global brands is preferred
- Good strategic thinker, with strong eye for creativity and working with agency partners
- Strong project management experience across complex projects and proven ability to balance quality, time, cost and working with a big mix of partners.
- Strong influencing and people management skills– from internal cross functional teams, creative, media, design and digital agencies and proficiency in briefing and providing direction on various projects
- Solid presentation, “sell-in” and clear communication skills with ability to flex to different styles / work in a very international environment
