About the Role: This is an exciting role for a highly experienced Graphic Design Manager to join our in-house creative visual design team, managing the graphic design department, helping to deliver creative and graphics for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. Weβre looking for a multidisciplinary Design Manager with experience of delivering engaging and creative solutions for all aspects of design, including but not limited to branding, illustrations, digital, print and signage. You will have extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams, mentoring and maximising best in class creative talent. As a custodian of the Mercedes-Benz brand and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Identity you will produce engaging designs that reflect our brands, our values and support our business objectives. Key Accountabilities (Duties): As our Design Team Leader, your responsibilities will include: End to end management and responsibility of the Mercedes F1 in-house creative visual design team. Responsible for mentoring team members and developing the capability of the design team. Providing focused hands-on creative and art direction. Responsible for the design teamβs translation of the brand identity into graphic and digital design output. Responsible for the design team workflow and creative outputs, taking briefs from key stakeholders in the business, delivering graphic design projects from concept to final artwork. Ensure the design team have and align their designs with the latest Mercedes-Benz Brand, Team Brand Identity and Partnership Guidelines. Bring creativity, diversity of ideas and innovation to the work of the team. Enable the in-house creative visual design team to deliver engaging and creative graphics, illustrations, digital material, presentations, signage, and print materials. Manage production and ordering processes to ensure designs and projects are delivered on time and to the agreed standard and cost. Manage demand versus delivery and ensure effective resource deployment across the scope of work. Confident to manage workload and make timely decisions with minimal supervision to constraining briefs with tight deadlines. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders at a senior level and a wide range of external suppliers, including architects and creative agencies. Support the team photoshoots and filming days providing in studio sign-off on design and branding deliverables. Candidate Profile: Essential: The successful candidate will be highly organised, creative, motivated, and excellent at multi-tasking with a broad design knowledge. You will have a proven competence and experience of managing a design team. Experience in working in a similar environment and an excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Knowledge of Microsoft Office will be beneficial. In addition to extensive graphic design experience, management skills, first-class organisational and time management skills, a sound attention to detail is also necessary.
