The Role:

The Assistant Performance Analyst (Womens) will play a vital role in supporting the team\’s performance analysis activities, providing valuable insights and data-driven recommendations to enhance player and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Analysis:

  • Analyse match footage on individual & team level, to identify areas for improvement & adherence to prior gameplan.
  • Use Angles to (live) code specific events, support the provision of feedback to coaches at half-time & generate XML for players & staff to watch back key moments post-match.
  • Assist analyst in supporting coaches with the creation of post-match review.

Collaborate with the Statistical Analysis:

  • Collect and analyse statistical data from training sessions (when required), generating bespoke data to allow for player-comparisons by position.
  • Present & maintain dataset relating to individual player performances on position-specific KPIs across the season.

Opposition Analysis:

  • Code opposition match footage to support the creation of opposition profiles.
  • Assist in the development of scouting reports and pre-match presentations for the coaching staff and players.
  • Assist in the creation of individual opposition profiles (know your enemy).

Filming & Databasing Footage:

  • Ability to film training sessions (team & goalkeeper) using a variety of tools (drones, gopro, end-zone)
  • Upload training sessions/match footage to Hudl in a timely manner to allow for further analysis by coaching staff/players.
  • Database all footage appropriately (server).

Technology and Equipment:

  • Assist in the maintenance and management of performance analysis equipment, ensuring it is functional and up to date.
  • Assist in the matchday setup (piston, gantry position & filming equipment).

The Person:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Sports Science, Exercise Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is desirable

Skills and Experiences:

  • Previous experience in performance analysis, preferably in a women\’s football environment.
  • Analysing match footage on individual & team level, to identify areas for improvement & adherence to prior gameplan
  • Proficiency in performance analysis software such as Angles, SportsCode, Hudl & Wyscout.
  • Collect and analyse statistical data
  • Development of scouting reports and pre-match presentations
  • Ability to film training sessions using a variety of tools (drones, gopro, end-zone)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of football, with a particular focus on women\’s football.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training and match schedules.
