About the role

As a Permit Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of work across the site. You’ll coordinate Control of Work and Permit-to-Work processes, ensuring documentation, isolations and permit conditions are properly managed before, during and after work. Working closely with contractors and internal teams, you’ll help identify potential risks, maintain accurate records and ensure work is carried out in line with site procedures and safety requirements.

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and managing the Permit-to-Work process, ensuring all applications are supported by the correct documentation and approvals.
  • Reviewing RAMS, work packs, drawings and job instructions to ensure they align with the agreed scope of work and site requirements.
  • Monitoring ongoing work and permit conditions, identifying potential risks, conflicting activities or changes in scope and escalating concerns where required.
  • Coordinating isolation and Lock Out Tag Out documentation, ensuring isolations are completed and verified by authorised personnel.
  • Maintaining accurate permit records and working closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient site operations.

About you

You’re an organised and detail-focused professional with strong communication and people skills, who can remain calm and confident in a busy operational environment. Experience working with permits, contractors or within a similar operational setting would be advantageous, alongside an understanding of Permit-to-Work, Control of Work and RAMS documentation.

You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, using digital systems and Microsoft Office, and working independently while knowing when to escalate concerns. You’ll have the confidence to challenge incomplete or non-compliant information appropriately and build positive, professional relationships with contractors, visitors and colleagues.

We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
