About the role

In this role, you will play a key part in keeping dock operations running smoothly and safely. You will be responsible for:

  • Pulling trailers to and from various locations on the dock
  • Collecting groupage, part loads and full loads
  • Shunting trailers and positioning them on and off loading bays
  • Coupling and decoupling trailers safely and efficiently
  • Using a B3 counterbalance FLT to offload materials into and out of the warehouse
  • Working in line with all Health & Safety procedures at all times

You will be working as part of a busy operational team in a fast-paced dock and warehouse environment, using tugs, trailers and counterbalance forklift trucks to ensure freight is moved efficiently and safely.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will hold a valid tug licence and a counterbalance FLT licence. You will have proven experience in coupling and decoupling trailers, shunting operations, and positioning trailers on and off loading bays. You will be highly health and safety conscious and committed to working safely at all times. You will be a good team player with a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for getting things done right. You will be comfortable building positive working relationships with your team members, as well as with internal and external colleagues, and you will take pride in contributing to a reliable and efficient operation.
