About The Role

Just got your Class 1 licence? DFDS Killingholme is opening the door to new HGV drivers looking to build a long‑term career in transport and logistics. We are offering full support for newly qualified drivers and are committed to helping you succeed from day one with hands‑on training, real‑world driving opportunities, and a pathway to a stable and rewarding career.

Alongside Training, The Role Will Involve:

  • Safely operating Class 1 vehicles to transport goods to and from the Port of Immingham.
  • Ensuring timely and efficient delivery in line with DFDS schedules and customer expectations.
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Accurately completing all relevant paperwork and using onboard systems as required.
  • Adhering to all road safety regulations, tachograph laws, and company policies.
  • Communicating effectively with port staff, planners, and the DFDS transport team.
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude at all times, representing DFDS standards.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a newly qualified or experienced Class 1 (C+E) driver who holds a valid CPC qualification and a Digital Tachograph (DIGI) card. They should demonstrate a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to develop their skills within a busy logistics operation. Reliability, punctuality, and confidence in handling articulated vehicles are essential, along with a sound understanding of transport regulations. Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude are key, as the role involves working closely with DFDS teams and port personnel.
