Are you experienced in part loads, groupage, or freight forwarding and ready to drive the next phase of growth? If so, you could be the newest addition to our team as a Commercial Business Development Manager – Part Loads. Be part of the movement - and play your part.

About the role

You'll be responsible for growing DFDS's UK and Nordic Part Load and Groupage business, with a particular focus on UK export traffic. Working closely with customers and operational teams, you'll help position DFDS as a preferred logistics partner while driving profitable revenue growth and expanding freight volumes across the network. Extensive travel throughout the UK will be required.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a sales strategy for Part Load and Groupage services
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the UK market
  • Promoting consolidation and groupage solutions to customers
  • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams
  • Preparing proposals, quotations, and pricing recommendations
  • Managing forecasts, pipeline activity, and CRM reporting
  • Working collaboratively with operations and account management teams to maximise customer value

About you

You'll have experience in business development, sales, freight forwarding, logistics, or transport services and a strong understanding of Part Load, Groupage, or consolidated freight solutions. You'll be commercially focused with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, able to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments. Knowledge of Nordic freight markets, customs procedures, or multimodal logistics would be highly beneficial. A full UK driving licence is essential, as regular travel throughout the UK forms a key part of the role.
