About the role
As a Van Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fresh and frozen fish products reach restaurants, fishmongers, and other businesses across the region on time and in perfect condition. You’ll be working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday on a consistent shift from 2:00pm to approximately 01:00am (finish times may vary depending on route completion).
You will be responsible for the collection, safe handling, and delivery of seafood products, working to strict hygiene standards and time sensitive schedules to meet customer expectations.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving a refrigerated van on multi-drop delivery routes to various commercial customers
- Loading and unloading fresh and frozen fish products
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed in line with hygiene and temperature control requirements
- Accurately completing delivery paperwork and using handheld scanners
- Liaising with dispatch and customer service teams to resolve delivery queries
- Performing daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any issues
You’ll be joining a dedicated team of van drivers, supported by a hands-on transport manager who understands the importance of food logistics and night operations. You’ll be driving refrigerated vans, specifically fitted for chilled and frozen transport, with built-in temperature monitoring systems and ergonomic loading features to help with heavier deliveries.
About you
You’ll need a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and at least 6 months of van driving experience in a similar multi-drop or regional delivery role. A good geographical understanding of the UK and comfort with night time driving is essential.
