About The Role
As one of our general haulage drivers, you’ll be out on the road overnight, transporting a variety of goods between depots, warehouses, and customer sites across the UK. This role involves trunking and occasional multi-drop deliveries, ensuring goods are delivered safely, securely, and on time.
You’ll be driving modern, well-maintained vehicles and working with a supportive team that values professionalism and reliability.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Safely operating Class 1 vehicles during night shifts, transporting general haulage items across regional and national routes.
- Completing trunking runs and occasional multi-drop deliveries, depending on the schedule.
- Conducting thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintaining accurate records, including logbooks and delivery paperwork.
- Adhering to all road safety regulations and company procedures.
About You
You’ll need a valid Class 1 licence, a CPC qualification, and a DIGI tacho card, with at least 2 years of HGV driving experience. Experience in general haulage or night trunking is a bonus, but full training will be provided for the right person.
This role involves night driving across regional and national routes. You’ll need to be confident handling large vehicles, have a good understanding of UK road regulations, and be able to manage your time effectively while working independently.
