About the role
This role plays a key part in supporting the smooth and compliant movement of goods through customs. You will be responsible for accurate data entry, ensuring adherence to all customs regulations, and working closely with internal teams, customers, and external partners. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced customs environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Accurately input customs data into bespoke systems, ensuring all information is complete and correct.
- Ensure full compliance with customs procedures by correctly documenting and controlling all customs activities.
- Liaise with customers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders to support the smooth and timely movement of goods.
- Resolve customs-related queries efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Support the wider customs team with administrative tasks and meet tight deadlines within a dynamic working environment.
About you
You are an experienced customs professional with hands-on knowledge of customs clearance processes for both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. You are confident working with systems such as TSS, eCustoms and Thyme-IT, with a strong understanding of key customs requirements including GMR, PBN and ENS. You have excellent attention to detail and are comfortable interpreting commercial documentation, including invoices, packing lists and INCO Terms. Organised and reliable, you are able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining compliance in a fast-paced environment, and you work well both independently and as part of a collaborative customs team.
