About the role
Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 18:00–06:00, you will be a crucial part of our nighttime transport operation, supporting drivers, monitoring movements, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely throughout the night. You will be responsible for:
- Tracking drivers and monitoring progress throughout their routes
- Briefing and debriefing drivers at the start and end of shifts
- Updating Velocity and other internal systems with real time information
- Sending communications for late-running vehicles and service updates
- Handling callouts for any vehicle issues and escalating where needed
- Keeping clear records and supporting compliance
- Working closely with the team to maintain strong communication overnight
About you
You will have experience within the transport industry and a good understanding of drivers' hours and basic UK geography. You will be someone who works well in a team while also being confident taking ownership when needed. Strong decision making skills, good organisation, and clear communication will help you succeed in this fast paced, nighttime role.
