About the role

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with fixed 12 hour shifts, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day execution of the transport operation. You’ll work closely with drivers, planners, warehouse teams, and outlying depots to make sure deliveries and collections run smoothly and on time.

You will be responsible for:

  • Executing the daily transport plan and supporting on-time deliveries and collections
  • Briefing and debriefing drivers and supporting them throughout their shift
  • Coordinating with planning, warehouse teams, and external partners to keep operations moving
  • Monitoring KPIs to ensure service levels and customer expectations are met
  • Building strong working relationships with customers, 3PL sites, and internal teams
  • Supporting Transport Managers with compliance-related activities
  • Following all DFDS policies, procedures, and safety standards

You’ll work in an open-plan office alongside teams such as Fleet and Finance, so communication and collaboration are key.

About you

You’ll ideally have some background in transport or logistics, but we’re also open to candidates from other fast-paced environments who show the right attitude and ability to learn. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a proactive, inquisitive mindset and a natural problem-solving approach. An International CPC would be beneficial, but full training can be provided as part of your development if required.

You’ll be confident working independently at times, comfortable making decisions, and always act with the best interests of the business in mind.
