About the role
In this role, you will play a key part in developing and strengthening customer relationships while driving new business opportunities. By delivering exceptional service, maintaining competitive commercial offerings, and actively engaging with both existing and prospective clients, you will contribute directly to the growth and success of the wider commercial team. Your ability to communicate effectively, utilise CRM tools, and collaborate across departments will ensure a seamless customer experience and consistent performance reporting.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and growing a portfolio of customers by offering competitive rates, providing regular updates, and ensuring a high standard of service.
- Proactively sourcing new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, and collaboration with internal teams.
- Maintaining regular communication with customers to handle queries, resolve issues efficiently, and gather valuable market insights.
- Using CRM systems to record all interactions, track opportunities, and manage follow-ups to support accurate reporting.
- Providing structured performance updates and feedback to the Management Team through CRM reporting and scheduled meetings.
About you
You’re a motivated and dynamic sales professional who remembers the importance of building strong customer relationships and delivering proactive, reliable service. With a solid background in sales and customer support, you’re confident managing an existing portfolio while actively seeking out new business opportunities. You have a natural ability to understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and consistently achieve positive results.
Although direct experience in ferry services isn’t essential, a good understanding of the logistics, transport, or freight forwarding sectors will be a real advantage. Your approachable communication style and collaborative mindset make you a great fit for team environments, yet you’re equally comfortable working independently and taking initiative. Most importantly, you’re someone who enjoys building connections, thrives on meeting targets, and takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
